Mission Trip 2005

This year's trip was organized through an organization called YOUTH WORKS. We traveled to Lake Traverse, South Dakota - that's the very far corner of the state, about 20 miles from North Dakota. Our trip was unique compared to the others we had been on, in many ways. First, we got the chance to work with children at the local Boys and Girls Club. I think for most of us, it was the most rewarding time spent on a mission trip. While half of the group was at the Boys and Girls Club, the other half was doing various service projects around town. We spent some time with the elderly at a senior center, worked in a garden and pulled weeds, painted a house and completely renovated a local church.
